I love reading Eliza Knight’s books about the Sutherland Family.This story is about Liam Sutherland who is the son of Magnus and Arabella Sutherland. Liam was named the best warrior in Scotland. He is now on a special mission for the king. This mission is to capture in Ughtred who is the husband of Ina Ross. The Ross Clan are traitors to Scotland. Ina Ross is in the dungeon at Stirling Castle. Cora Segrave was trying to send out a message for help. Her father was killed, her mother was in the dungeon and now she is hiding in a hidden room in her fathers study.The squire is stopped by Liam because he looked like he was frightened. Liam and his men were very close to the border.Now is when some of the secrets will be told. So many things start to happen.This is when the story should be read to learn about the big secret.I hope that whoever reads this book will enjoy it !!
Eliza Knight has once again delivered a wonderful Scottish tale which I was unable to put down until I finished it! Each time this fantastic author gives us another story I am amazed that she always surpasses her last one! How that is even possible, I don't know!This is the story of Liam Sutherland, the hero who saves a young girl from the horrors of rape and probable murder, then several years later, saves her again. Liam is a warrior for the King, Robert the Bruce, and is a loyal, strong and willing adversary for The Bruce, doing all he can to keep his King's enemies at bay. However, his gallant saving of Cora Segrave, an English lass who was the daughter of a baron, carries with it a secrets which could have caused him to lose his very life.Many twists and turns in this great story! Intrigue at it's best! It's a book you'll remember long after the last page! I can't wait for the next book in this series! Five Stars, and I wish I could give it Ten!!
