I've thought about what I want to say for awhile now, trying to put my words together so that other's who may be reading this and considering purchasing it would feel drawn to do so by my review. I decided there's no words that could rightfully express what happened on the inside of me while reading each page of Jamie's book. I feel like I just sat down at a friends house on an oversized couch with giant pillows, having one of those conversations that last throughout the night, as the sun comes up I still don't want it to end because it's what I've needed to hear and wanted to share. With each story she told, I said "me, too" with tears streaming down my face. I didn't ever expect anybody to relate to my story and then I read Jamie's and it was like she was retelling my story, one that I've been open to sharing but left some parts out. I feel like I can take a deep breath now. I'm pushing forward not letting shame and guilt hold me back. Believing it's worth saying, believing vulnerability breeds vulnerability.
I feel so blessed to have been a part of Jamie Ivey's book launch team. being able to read the book early gave me 100% confidence in sharing the book with EVERYONE i know. This book was exactly what I need and will need over and over again. I was able to listen to Jamie share the secrets of her past, and ones she struggles with daily. I was able to feel freedom know we all struggle. Knowing that no mater who you are, who you are married to, how you were raised that we are all the same, sinners saved by Grace. Jamies take on how to overcome our past mistakes and give glory to God opened my eyes to the Love of my heavenly father. I can not wait to get this book into the hands of everyone women i love. Jamie reminds that God ca take the messiest story and bring glory to his kingdom through. Thank you Jamie for paving the way and allowing us to find freedom in Christ,
