Amazing book, I've received a powerful impartation from the words of the author. The wisdom and knowledge the Holy Spirit had given him during the writing of this book (which is also seen in his life) is pretty deep. As I write this, I can already hear God speaking to me through a verse saying "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone" Psalm 118:22 meaning the teaching in this book may seem light on the surface (like things you've heard before) but if you look deeper you'll see and gather its pearls.
Pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Church has written a book to help you hear the voice of God. He uses scriptural references to clarify his points. You may hear Gods voice through worship, through the Bible and through the ordinary circumstances of your live. The author believes you must have faith to hear from God and you will receive confirmation from the Holy Spirit. How God will speak to you will vary, it can be through other people or through your own thoughts or natural manifestations. Pastor Morris has heard from God in his life and he describes the times he has throughout the pages of this book. Obviously it has worked for him and with faith and prayer it may for you. I've been listening and reading Pastor Robert's material for several years now. So much wisdom! This book is informative but also gives testimonies of hearing God's voice. Very good read.
While I learn so much from Brother Morris, there are just some things we have to agree to disagree on and there are a number of issues that I am not in agreement with him on, Having to do with his Pentecostal background and we must leave it at that. They are not that bad or I would not be able to follow him but for the most part, I have and continue to learn very much from Brother Morris.Thus the four stars.
I really appreciate this teaching. Robert Morris continues to encourage and challenge believers to open themselves to the Holy Spirit. I pray that all believers will accept that challenge and grow deeper in their relationship with God. This book will help you on that journey.
Excellent book. I'm learning a lot. Clearly written and easy to understand with approrpiate scriptural references. I recommend it.
